Restaurant Equipment Maintenance Tips

Ice Machines need to be descaled every three months and sanitized to prevent scale, mildew, and mold build up. This service includes cleaning sensors and water tubing. This service will ensure proper operation of ice machines.


All ice machines should have a water filter on the water supply line to help with sediment in the water.


The condenser coil and filter should be inspected monthly and cleaned, as needed, to help prevent equipment failure.


Refrigeration equipment should be inspected every three months to ensure condenser coils and evaporator coils are clean, to ensure there is proper air flow through the coil. Refrigerant charge should be checked at this time to make sure the charge is okay. Testing amp draw on compressors and motors to ensure they are within factory specifications. Testing start and run capacitors at this time is suggested, as well.


Freezer equipment should be inspected every three months to ensure condenser coils and evaporator coils are clean, to insure proper air flow through coil. Refrigerant charge should be checked at this time to make sure charge is okay. Testing amp draw on compressors and motors to ensure they are within factory specifications. Testing start and run capacitors at this time, is suggested, as well. Testing defrost cycle to ensure heaters are also working properly.


Test thermometer to ensure proper temperature of unit is being achieved. You should never trust the display temperature.
